West Coast Boxer Rescue rescues and adopts out stray, abandoned, neglected, abused and surrendered Boxers, primarily pure bred, but sometimes Boxer mixes and other breeds. We are dedicated to improving the lives and welfare of homeless Boxers. Sheila is ready to find her forever home. West Coast Boxer Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is 100 volunteer based. She was beyond ready to press restart on the life she was given and get to living one where all her needs are met and her people are ones she can trust. This is a dog that will look into your eyes you can see into her soul. In the past couple of weeks I’ve noticed her get super goofy with the biggest wiggly body and butt ever!! She is super treat and food motivated, she walks well on the leash." She is especially attached to the foster's submissive female dog.Ī direct quote from her foster mom: "She is very submissive and shy but once she trusts you she will come out of her shell. She wants all the love and cuddles and her foster is making up for lost time with her! She is currently living in a foster home with other dogs and a toddler and is doing AMAZING. While she is shy at first, she does not let her past define her. We think she was used as a bait dog because of all the scars on her face. They are brought up to date on vaccines, tested for heartworm, and spayed or neutered (unless too young or not medically able to be). When we rescued Sheila from the shelter, we could tell this sweet girl had been through a lot. Before adoption, our dogs are healthy to the best of our vets’ knowledge.
